Believe UA

Believe UA is a mentoring program designed to set students up for success, both in the classroom and out. With an emphasis on providing freshman and sophomore undergraduate students an essential connection point for guidance, developmental support and conscious care during their early years at the Capstone; Believe UA intentionally matches peer mentors, who have learned the keys to success, with those students who may need additional guidance.

Believe UA has served more than 1,500 undergraduate students who have shown higher persistence rates, demonstrated significant improvements in their grade point averages for the semester and reported greater levels of confidence in navigating the University environment and connecting with campus resources.

Mentors

Student Mentors come from diverse backgrounds and uphold ethical leadership behavior in their roles. They are trained in accountability, conflict resolution, effective communication and leadership.

Believe UA matches student mentors who have learned the keys to success with those who may be having difficulty adjusting to life at the Capstone. The program focuses on academics, social life and financial management, in addition to holistic well-being. Typically, students meet with their peer mentor weekly to foster their connection.
