Who will be reviewing applications?
Applications will be blinded and reviewed by a committee of student and faculty leaders from across the Division of Student Life. This ensures fairness and impartial consideration for all applicants.

Applications open on January 9 and must be submitted by February 12. Be sure to apply early to ensure your materials are reviewed.
What does “demonstrated financial need” mean?
“Demonstrated financial need” means a student can show that financial support is necessary to participate in the activity. This could include documentation such as financial aid information, income statements, or other proof of need.
Can I use the stipend for multiple activities?
Yes! You can use the stipend to support more than one approved activity.
How will I receive the funds?
Funds will be transferred directly to your Student Account once your application is approved.
Note: When the student’s account is in a delinquent status per the Payments To Students Policy, Student Account Services reserves the right to apply the payment to the student account and not refund the amount to the student.
Stipends paid to UA Students will be treated as fellowships for tax purposes and included in Form 1098-T, which is a recap of a student’s account. If you receive a Form 1098-T, you as recipient are responsible for reporting these payments and remitting any tax due with your personal income tax return (See Stipend Matrix for details).
