Whenever possible, we encourage that incidents are resolved directly with the staff or department involved. Often a complaint can be resolved in this way. However, if an informal approach is neither successful or advisable, the Complaint and Appeals Form should be submitted. For on-campus emergencies, please contact UAPD at 205-348-5454, and for off-campus emergencies, please dial 911.

If you do not have a myBama Id or wish to submit an anonymous complaint, you may do so without providing your name or any other identifying contact information, through the UA System Hotline or Text UAct. Both reporting platforms are completely anonymous and allow for follow-up questions and feedback. Use a mobile device with SMS capabilities to text 888-708-8433 (TIDE) and begin an anonymous Text UAct report or complete the UA System Hotline’s secure online report form using a web browser.
